  How about a rebuttal to your "article" which is just thinly vieled propaganda from Kinder Morgan. The 810 miles of pipe is small pipes taking NG to homes. Not 42" fracked LNG pipes transporting millions of gallons daily through the area. The pipelines also do generate news, perhaps you forgot about the Georgetown residents that were away from their homes for over a month because of a leak. Guess that one just slipped your mind. The small pipelines carry processed Natural Gas, mainly in gaseous form. This is vastly different than fracked liquid natural gas with fracking chemicals still in it. There is no approval process because this is an intra-state pipeline which requires no approvals or additional permits from the Railroad Commissioner or any other agency. The only approval required are leases from 3 companies involved in the pipeline and you fill out a form. Bingo, you can put in a pipeline. The pictures posted of explosions are real pipeline explosions, including the one posted today from the explosion in Oklahoma. That wasn't a movie set and it is insulting to the people who were injured, and lost property to say so. According to Kinder Morgan's own website this pipeline is for export to China, not one drop will stay in the US. Eminent Domain was never meant to be used for a purely for profit enterprise and it shouldn't be. If you want to get rich then pay a fair price. Eminent Domain is for public works projects not for profit enterprises. The comparison you attempted to make is invalid, they aren't the same, not even close. It is true that pipelines are the safest means of transport for these types of products. I will give you an idea that I hope gets taken up the ladder. Buy, for a fair price, land from landowners along a pipeline route to a port. Put every pipeline in it. You own it, you maintain it and you take the risk if something goes wrong. It sounds like a splendid idea to me. Take the risks from homeowners and put them back where they belong, in the pipeline companies pockets. You won't be the bad guys anymore, you will be hero's for paying attention to the environment, property owners concerns and being a responcible corporate citizens of the United States.
