  It’s NOT the floods it’s all the big trucks that are being told and sent by ticket to use this route! Put a weight limit on it and quite screwing with those of us who live here! The alternate routes are a huge PIA! My 10 min trips to Driftwood for carpool take 1 hour to get there and back now! My husband is forced to drive I 35 for his work commute and it’s extending our days by hours! End of July is unacceptable. Get it together. It shouldn’t take that long.

  Dear Mr. Leos, You are not being told, and therefore not reporting, the truth. The floods are NOT what damaged the low water crossings on 150. The waters may have been the straw that broke the camel's back, but it was the 47 axle vehicle pulling Barnhart Crane Services ridiculously oversized crane insanely through that area where it had no business being. It is doubtful this was a permitted trip, but if it was, that person needs to be fired. This same company three days later moved a large crane through Dripping Springs that was not permitted, using all emergency personnel in that town to move the behemoth through. This company showed no regard for the limits of our roads and it was their negligence that broke this vital roadway. This is creating a real hardship for hundreds (thousands?) of commuters in extra time spent and extra fuel used to have to take alternative routes. The crane company should be held liable, not us, the taxpayers. Also, the road should be weightlimited in the future, disallowing any large rigs to ever come through and crush our roadways again.   Sad that the proper steps were not taken by CPS,hopefully the courts will sentence them accordingly,(life without parole).
